As a Mom, I can attest to everything on this list.
Remember any of the products recommended I PERSONALLY own and as an Amazon Affiliate, I may receive a commission for purchases made through these links. For more information, please follow this link.
I don’t like the “influencer” push to products and personally, I’m more of an experience person anyways. BUT, gifts are nice to open when they’re personalized to you.
You wouldn’t give a person a bottle of wine when they don’t drink -or- someone who doesn’t like being touched… a massage. (HA! That last example was a true experience on my part… bad gift. Moving on!)
So… here’s 5 things that you can order this week to get on time and show your Mom (and Wife) that they deserve to be celebrated the other 364 days as well.
1. Loop Earplugs ($35+) | Have you heard of these small but mighty things? They’re earplugs without bluetooth (!) and they sit inside your ear so no one has to know that you’re wearing them.
I love my Loops. I’ve only been wearing them for about a week now. My relationship is fresh but strong.
I can in fact hear with them in. There are different levels of “hearing”. I have the Engage line, which dampens the sound around me, but I can still hear everything and have a conversation. There are a few lines out that span from complete quiet to just a little duller (and all in-between).
My kids scream … and fight. I just wished that they had a remote that controls volume sometimes. Ha! Truth spoken. I’m also finding that my ADHD brain isn’t so noisy with them in. An amazing benefit for the Mom that is sensitive to sounds.
If you have tiny ears (like me), they do sell the xxs plugs on their website, not Amazon.
2. A Portable Steam Sauna ($159) | This was my husband gift for our birthdays this year and it’s quickly become one thing I can’t live without.
It heats up under 5 minutes, I sit in it for 10-15 minutes, and shower after because sweat and all. Yes, I’ve been in it and the kids have come in needing something (aka help wiping), but overall, they know it’s “mom-time”.
Everyone is different. I’d recommend you start with a lower time & temp and see how it impacts you. Some people do it at night because it makes them relax and others in the am because it energizes.
I will say that I find myself being in a better mood when I sauna. I sweat out the bad… literally.
I love this brand in particular because it has an app to control. Please don’t put your phone in the sauna with you… or a Fitbit (RIP…) and used distilled water (not tap).
3. The Weck Tulip Jars – 1 Liter size ($29 for 2) | Have a Mom with a sourdough starter baby? THESE are the best thing ever.
I had been using the traditional Ball jars for a while for my sourdough but I was constantly frustrated that I couldn’t fit my hand in the jar to clean it properly.
These do the trick and the sourdough has plenty of room to bloom and grow without overflow. I use them for my pickled veggies too.
Personally, I believe that you need at least 4 jars for sourdough, but 2 would work too. My jars are one for discard, one for the active starter, I have a spare in the fridge that gets fed once a week, and have one extra jar.
And, add this book. The bestttttt sourdough & bread book I’ve come across and I’ve read a lot of them.
And, she’ll need a sturdy dutch oven to cook the perfect loaf every time! Cast iron is one thing I’ll splurge on because it’s nearly indestructible. I’m always a fan of the Lodge brand.
4. Kindle ($100 with $13/month for Kindle Unlimited) | For the reader. Yes, this is on just about every list there is ever, but there’s a reason for it!
I love the smell of actual books, the feel of the pages, the flipping sound, but it’s often impractical when it comes to reading with kids.
They always want to cuddle when you’re sitting on the couch engrossed in pages and with a physical copy, that makes things difficult.
I’d recommend getting Kindle Unlimited because it truly does open up the pages that can be read. Everything from non-fiction to adult-themed books *cough book-tok* to cookbooks and home decor. You’ll find everything and anything without the wait.
5. Non-material things… including quiet time, kind words, handmade goodies, cuddles, lack of plans, and meals (brunch + dinner).
Let Moms sleep in on Mother’s Day. Allow her to have some uninterrupted quiet time. If she wants to take a nap on the couch or patio, so be it!
Make her food. Provide her with her favorite beverage whatever that may be. Shower her with love because she gives so much of her to her kids everyday of the year.

I’m sentimental and love getting the little handmade things from my kids. I know those will disappear in a few years when they are older.
What you think may be the “smallest” gift will actually have the most impact on her day.
Keep it easy, simple, minimal but shower her with love.
