Embrace Nov-Ember: A Month of Grounding

As the year winds down, we don’t need more goals … we need more grounding.

November has always felt like a pause between seasons. The space between who we were and who we’re becoming. It’s a month that quietly asks us to slow down, clear space, and tend to what matters most. But, ironically, it’s the month that feels frantic in our preparation for the crazy of December.

Last year, I created Nov-Ember as a simple challenge to help me do just that. To strip away the noise and reconnect with myself before the year ended. What I found wasn’t another list of things to accomplish, but a rhythm of reflection, simplicity, and light. And (bonus!) it made my December that much more enjoyable.

This year, I’m bringing it back, but a little differently. Instead of one big challenge, I’ve broken it into four weekly to-do lists, each focused on a different layer of life. They’re not about perfection or productivity; they’re about re-lighting what’s been dimmed aka your energy, your space, your joy, and your sense of self.

If you’ve been craving a slower, more intentional way to close the year, Nov-Ember is your invitation to step back, breathe, and come home to yourself again. I hope you check in every week to see what simple tasks you can complete to relight your fire in November.
